Unlike commodity products, antiquarian and rare books are one-of-a-kind. The same copy can be listed on eBay, AbeBooks, Amazon, and Etsy simultaneously because there’s only one of it.Documentation Index

The strategy
- List everywhere by default. Different buyers shop on different platforms.
- Per-platform pricing. AbeBooks buyers expect higher prices. eBay is more competitive. Etsy attracts gift buyers willing to pay a premium for presentation.
- Delist on payment confirmation. When a book sells on one platform, delist from others — but wait until payment is confirmed, not just “sold.”

| Amazon | Convenience buyers | ~15% | Books with ISBNs |
| Etsy | Gift buyers, aesthetics-focused | ~10% | Beautiful editions, illustrated books |
