Lexi can take actions on your inventory — updating fields, creating lots, logging sales, running valuations, and generating listings. Every write action shows a confirmation card before executing. Nothing changes without your approval.
Update book fields
Update any field on one or more books.
"Update the condition on my Dickens to near fine"
"Change the status of everything in lot #47 to listed"
"Set the binding type to leather on that copy of Don Quixote"
Supported fields include: status, condition_grade, condition_notes, is_first_edition, dust_jacket_present, signed, cost_basis, listing_price, binding_type, title, authors, publisher, publication_date, format, height_cm, width_cm, depth_cm, weight_g, genre, subjects.
Batch updates: Lexi can update multiple books at once. “Mark all books from the Sunnyvale lot as listed” will update every book in that lot.
Create acquisition lot
Group newly purchased books into a lot.
"I just bought 35 books at a library sale for $120. Create a lot called 'Palo Alto Library Sale'."
Log bulk sale
Record selling multiple books to a single buyer.
"I sold 8 books to Half Price Books for $200 total."
The system divides the price proportionally by estimated value and marks each book as bulk_sold.
Run valuation
Trigger a full valuation with comp search and AI pricing.
"Run a valuation on my copy of The Great Gatsby"
"Value this book — it's a first edition with dust jacket, factor that in"
Generate listing
Create platform-specific listing text.
"Generate an eBay listing for my Hemingway"
"Write an Etsy listing for the illustrated Alice in Wonderland"
Generate blurb, genre tags, and subject tags for a book.
"Enrich the metadata on my copy of Leaves of Grass"
